Canada Student Visa Application

Students across the globe migrates to Canada through its student Visa Application to further their studies. Canada is a popular country which is located in the northern part of North America. Its popularity is also as a result of its intensive and advanced education.

Here is how to get study permit –

Before you apply for a study permit you need to get your documents ready. These are:

  • an acceptance letter from a designated learning institution (DLI)
  • a valid passport or travel document
  • proof you can support yourself, and any family members who come with you, while you’re in Canada

How to apply For Canada Student Visa Via Online Method

The following steps are involved in Canada Student Online Visa Application

First Step:

Read the instructions on how to submit a visa application via online. This can be found on the IRCC website. Applicants are required to submit biometrics data, after successfully submitting the online application.

You will also receive a notification in the form of a Biometric Instruction Letter (BIL). Upon receipt of the BIL, you will be required to visit the Visa Application Centre to submit the biometrics.

Second Step:

If applicant is to undergo biometric enrolment, forehand appointment is very vital. Once an appointment is scheduled, an appointment letter will be issued along with a reference number.

The appointment letter will provide details of the date, time and location of the appointment, together with other relevant information regarding security at the centre and other additional services.

If you are not required to submit biometrics, please wait for the decision of your application and check your MyCIC account for further instructions.

Third Step:

On the date of your appointment arrive at the Centre 15 minutes prior to your appointed time.

Your original passport, appointment letter, and Biometric Instruction Letter will be required.

Upon completion of biometric enrolment, you will be provided a receipt confirming that your biometric has been collected at the Canada Visa Application Centre.

Fourth Step:

Once a decision has been taken on your visa application, you will be notified via email to submit your passport through a Passport Request Letter.

If you are unsure of emails from IRCC getting delivered to you, please check your my CIC account periodically for updates.

Upon receipt of the Passport Request Letter, submit your original passport, current passport copy and 2 copies per person of VFS Global Consent Form along with the Passport Request Letter, at the Visa Application Centre.
